The FSFA strives to be involved in at least one (1) fun fishing event each year to provide a format for our members to engage in friendly competition and to strengthen bonds within the club and the local angling community.

Since 2005, there has been an annual 'CFOA/FSFA Cobia Fun Tournament' ('Cobiathon') held out of Port Canaveral in March where members of both clubs go out and try to find Cobia to bring in to the late afternoon weigh-in, followed by a picnic and awarding of the winners trophy and prizes.
